La Maria - Los Angeles

My family and I love visiting this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. My personal favorites are the bandeja paisa, beef empanadas, and passion fruit with milk. The owner is very friendly and attentive.

My search for an authentic Colombian restaurant brought me to La Maria Restaurant, but I was somewhat let down by the limited dinner selection. Despite this, our group of four decided to try various drinks and dishes, hoping to evoke fond memories of past experiences. Unfortunately, we were all thoroughly disappointed. The food lacked flavor, and the service was mediocre. It felt more like a restaurant serving Colombian-inspired cuisine rather than offering traditional, authentic dishes. While the ambiance was pleasant, I don’t think it’s worth a special trip.

It was my first visit, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. We had a great time!

I had a good experience having Colombian food at La Maria. I highly recommend ordering the Bandeja Paisa along with a Colombiana soda. The food is reasonably priced, the service is welcoming, and I was impressed by the charming decorations that capture the essence of Colombian architecture. Additionally, you can find a variety of Colombian products like Alpina, Bon Yogurt, obleas, avena, chocoramo, and more.
