The Crispy Pata is big rip off. They sell highest than most filipino store and what do you know you get a small portion for $28 .. all other Filipino food restaurant serves double the size for less
Had the pork adobo...it tasted a bit salty. It had a bitter taste at the end. Maybe too much salt or too much pepper. The meat was tender though and the garlic rice was very good.
I was excited to try this restaurant and walked from Hollywood/Kenmore to visit this popular Filipino spot in LA. The ambiance was lovely and quaint on Fountain and New Hampshire, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the expectations. It felt misleading to advertise Ilokano cuisine and then serve pinakbet in the Tagalog style. Additionally, the longganisa didn’t seem to match the Ilokano description either. I'm always willing to spend on good food, but I think LA Rose is overrated when it comes to Filipino cuisine. Despite the less-than-stellar service, I left a generous tip because I wanted to support my fellow Filipinos. As a suggestion, I would recommend checking out other local Filipino restaurants like Parks Finest, HiFi, or even the tried-and-true OinPing.
Delicious Filipino cuisine with warm and friendly service. They made me feel like part of the family. I absolutely loved the bangus, the desserts, and all the vegetable dishes. I will definitely be back! Thank you!
