We were seated right away and decided to try their famous dishes – the spare ribs and pork back potato soup – which were served with rice and a variety of kimchi. The flavors were incredible and perfectly spicy, easily earning a 10/10. The service was attentive and friendly, even after I accidentally spilled beer on my boyfriend, haha. We will definitely return!
The food here is excellent, especially the pork ribs and gamjatang. However, we noticed that the menu has a limited selection of items and is somewhat overpriced.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We only visit for special occasions as a treat to ourselves. I didn't give the service and atmosphere a full 5 stars because I've only been there in the evening when it gets busy and noisy. I really enjoy their banchan. The spicy pork neck stew is incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone, and has just the right amount of heat. When they say spicy, they mean it! The portions are generous too.
These ribs are the best ribs ever. The char is perfect and flavor is unmistakable. The layer of raw onion that gets caramelized under the heat of the ribs is genius. The flavor and juices from the ribs makes the onions super delicious, together, it’s an unbeatable combination. I like that they serve barley tea in place of water. Barley tea has a subtle nutty, almond-like flavor. It’s served cold is very refreshing. It compliments the ribs onions very well. The place is a little cramped, but clean has a nice outdoor patio as well. The service was good, but they’re almost always busy.
The pork spare ribs are fantastic, with a delightful hint of charcoal from the grill. The soybean paste stew is also very tasty, and the side dishes are quite impressive. The staff is alright, though they don't seem particularly warm, and I felt a bit overlooked, likely because they were quite busy. Additionally, the cleanliness of the tables and silverware could use some improvement. Valet parking is available and is a must for a fee of $3.
