The restaurant offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes, ranging from burritos to tortas.
I read about this restaurant in the LA Times and unfortunately, it won't be open for much longer. It's a shame because I have been a regular customer since the late 90s and have loved seeing it evolve over the years. I highly recommend visiting before it closes. They only accept cash, but it's definitely worth it.
I went today only to get greeted at the door and be informed they had permanently closed. I was a patron for as long as I can recall. I'll miss El Gran Burrito. Get out and support your local restaurants.
Wonderful burrito joint, best al pastor burritos on the planet, still super cheap (though not $3 anymore), wide selection of meats and stews, everything right there in front of you. All the folks that have worked there over the years are friendly and accomodating. Wonderful salsa bar, kept well stocked those zanahorias are amazing. Indoor outdoor seating. Has to handle a wide, shall we say, variety of clientele who stumble in off the street (including me), and they do their best. They tolerate my bad Spanish without rolling their eyes. Actually has parking in back. They've experimented with chicken in recent years. The neighborhood joint of my dreams. Perfect adjunct to LACC down the block. Kind of rambling and sprawling, but that's part of its charm. Can't wait for the virus to end so I can get back there.
