The room takes a first floor on a corner in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. If you are going to notice why BL is the hottest restaurant in downtown LA. And I will not say much more about Bottega Louie, except that I highly recommend a visit for almost any occasion. Breakfast was my meal at Bottega Louie. I had breakfast with spinach cheese with one side of bacon – your typical Californian morning meal. Mr. B had a bagel ox. I felt my eggs and spinach were typical and nothing was to write home. But the bacon I had was cut tight and thick. I couldn't try the Bagel-Lox. I saw a nice offer of juices, pastries and coffee for the meetings of the energy breakfast in downtown. I was able to see the big airy restaurant to see the baked goods like cupcakes and muffins. Macaroons are the new “Cupcakes” a few years ago. You begin to see them in more recipes, dessert combinations and menus. I would suspect you will see them more and more in the coming months. And Bottega Louie had a smashed series of multicolored Macaroons
Atmosphere: stylish looking, but unexpectedly loud for a nice restaurant. Service: top notch. We asked them to overthrow the food as we had to visit a whisky tasting and the food came within 5 minutes. It was impressive. Food: very good. The Burra Pizza was the best part. For a unique appetizer try the portobello Fritten. Good Macarons, too. Overall: If it was not so loud, it would be perfect, but nevertheless an excellent experience.
Great place... great service, feels comfortable, but it's very on earth... great food, also with such a large space to get around... big marketplace!
This restaurant is overrated and pricey. We ordered truffle pizza and louie salad. The truffle pizza was cold, dry and no flavor. The Louie salad has too much dressing and was not fresh. I expected higher than this when considering their price. I will not go there again. What a pricey experience..
I think this is one of the best places for casual dining at a first-class restaurant/bakery. They have an espresso and separate bar for all your beverages needs. The desserts are second to none. There is a dessert area for Togo pastries. This beautiful place to shop or dine. I love this place for their decor and service.
