Blackbird Pizza Shop - Los Angeles

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant for the first time last night for a date and had a fantastic experience! It was our first time trying deep dish pizza and it was delicious. The young blonde waiter was very friendly and attentive (unfortunately, I forgot his name). When we asked for recommendations, he suggested we try two personal pizzas, so we ended up ordering the Mary’s Chicken and Balls Deep. It took some time for the pizzas to come out, but they were well worth the wait. In my past experiences at other pizza places, the wait has not always been worth it, but we will definitely be coming back here. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizza was of high quality. The staff was also great.

The deep dish pizza was delicious. The restaurant also has a great selection of music playing. I highly recommend it!

The service was lovely and the food was tasty. My favorite was the roasted beet salad, but I was too hungry to take its picture. I enjoyed the charred brocclini, even though it was a bit too spicy for my taste. The deep dish pizza was 5 pounds of cheesy delight!

Delicious deep dish pizza and great location. This spot is directly in the Melrose area next to great shops, bars and restaurants.
