Saporitalia - LORNE

A good location for good Italian food in the centre of Lorne. The selection of risottos, pizza and pasta dishes is very good and all our dishes were cooked perfectly. The bacon and chicken risotto was excellent. The service is attentive but could be a little warmer. Also the bathrooms could be a little cleaner. Overall a good spot for authentic Italian food.

My stepson, his partner and I had Mothers Day lunch in this restaurant. We were a little concerned that we were the only people dining there at the time, but before long we were joined by others. We were very happy with our meal, and the service. The menu was extensive, and there were several blackboard specials of the day. Our only complaint would be that it was a chilly day, and no heating was provided.

A group of 4 people, 2 meat eaters, a vegan and a vegetarian, we all found something good to eat. Enormous portions, good food and lovely staff.

We fancied a bit of Italian that was walking distance from our hotel. This place was ok. The food was ok. But the service was very average. Back packers are prepared to work in the off season but the slap dash approach is irritating.

The pizza tasted great but it was disappointing on the amount of toppings you received on it for the money you payed. Only 2 olives per slice and not much of anything else, the only thing that covered the whole slice was cheese and sauce. The waitresses couldn't bear a smile but were polite in saying that although customer service is 9 parts customer interaction. An all round disappointing visit and won't hurry back.
