Old Country Store - Lorman

Not good at all and definitely overpriced. They really need a proper cook; anyone can just open a can. I was expecting some authentic country food. This was my first and last visit!

The restaurant is overpriced, and the vegetables were served cold. The older gentleman was rude and unkind when I mentioned that I didn't like the dressing, which had a sour taste. He demanded to know, "Where do you cook?" I chose to ignore him, but he repeated the question, this time more loudly. My husband eventually responded, saying, "At home." I questioned why he felt the need to be rude and disrespectful toward me as a customer, but he just went on a rant about his 25 years of cooking experience.

Absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had! I take pride in making my own fresh fried chicken, but this takes the cake. The owner is fantastic—so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is laid-back, perfect for those who enjoy exploring unique, off-the-beaten-path spots.

The food was disappointing and overpriced. They really need a skilled cook; it seemed like anyone could just pour out a pre-packaged meal. I was hoping for a genuine, hearty experience. Unfortunately, this was not it, and I won’t be returning.
