The Gourmet Deli - London

We happened upon this cafe on our way heading out of London after a hectic move weekend with our daughter. What a nice surprise to find the owner behind the counter who prepared our sandwiches to order. Everything is freshly made on the spot - even my grilled chicken. The dessert bars are simply amazing.

The food was pretty good but the service took the crowd. Very friendly and nice. Clean and quality products.

Tom's the best. Always good lunch deals, good variety, food is fresh and homemade. Great soups (get the soup and sandwich combo for lunch)!

My husband and I went to Logan's funeral home for the funeral of a friend. After the funeral we were invited into the reception area for sandwiches etc. We were so amazed at how good the food being catered was and asked who the caterer was and was told the funeral home uses The Gourmet Deli on King St. very close to them. All the sandwiches were delicious and full of meat, cheese, tuna, chicken as well as there were wonderful trays of cheeses, fruit and amazing deserts of all kinds. My Mother is celebrating her 100th anniversary this April and we plan to use this caterer as he is definitely a cut above.

If deli is your thing, this has a creative lunchy menu (stressing sandwiches) that explores a few twists on the traditional. Buns and ingredients are of good quality and the staff is friendly and engaging. Not a ton of seating, but varies between cafe tables and booths. Reasonable prices.
