A surprise off-the-street breakfast/lunch restaurant specializing in soups and sandwiches, and daily specials ... but much more. Busy at peak time, but diligent welcoming staff. Two cosy rooms, one with a real fire during winter conditions. A nice homestyle character like no other. To be visited more than once (It grows on you).

Food is always delicious. Tastes like homemade. Prices are very reasonable. Lunch hour can be very busy but worth the wait.. Lots of take home items as well. Service is good. Staff friendly. Know a lot of their customers by name. Great place,

Grabbed a takeaway lunch here on a repeat visit. My usual go to is the Reuben which is always delicious and piled high. This time no Reuben on the menu, so opted for lasagna instead. Came with a small side of potato salad which was awesome. Lasagna was not as good as I hoped for and could have had more meat and cut. Taste was okay, but would not get again. There are a lots of different items I’d rather choose. So this visit was a 4, (barely) and not a 5. Will make sure I get a different item next time, it’s the first time I was disappointed. For a nice take home treat try the chocolate chip cookies. Crispy and just right. They are to die for, got a pack of 10 to share with the kids. 5 dollars is pricy but worth it!

This is a lovely spot downtown to enjoy a satisfying lunch. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Cafeteria style ordering with true homemade flavour. Daily favourites with new dishes each day. My favourite is the Julienne Salad made fresh when I order. Highly recommend Nooner's it's tucked away from the bustling sidewalk on Clarence Ave.

This is a hidden gem. You have to really look for it. If you work downtown this is the place to grab lunch. Home cooked meals, well made sandwiches, soups and stews, baked good etc. It looks small, but is actually roomy for those who want to eat there. The staff are really nice, and I love their bread choices and various sandwich choices. Give this place a try!
