Many specials that were all excellent plus the normal menu. Generous portions loaded with seafood and the owner came around to all the tables to ensure all was well. The place is small so reservations are recommended.
Incredible experience. We enjoyed the Ahi Tuna to start and the Swordfish Black Cod Specials which both included a delicious risotto, also had Key Lime Pie for dessert. Great cocktails. Chef Luan came to chat and is a lovely and endearing person- very passionate and talented. Been waiting to come here for a long time and will definitely be back. Worth a visit- yummmmm.
My husband and I went to Luan’s tonight for the first time. We were regular breakfast goers to Irene’s, but hadn’t been in since the pandemic. The new space and menu are awesome. The food was top tier and the service was great as it always was at Irene’s! Highly recommend!
We have been To Luan 's a few times, and, in fact, recommended it to several people. This past visit though, they missed the mark. Seriously, we are only looking for good quality food, cooked and presented well and enjoyed in a nice environment. This is NOT an inexpensive restaurant, so I truly expect a certain level of quality which is better than Meh . I am going to concentrate on the minutiae: 1. If you are going to go to the trouble of putting tea lights in candle holders on a table, please light the candles in the evening. 2. All but one hole on the salt shaker was clogged, and its exterior was very dirty. 3. When asked for a description of a menu item, the server stated one thing, repeatedly, but finally another staff member interjected and described the item 's true contents. Know your menu! 4. Pre-dinner cocktails should come before dinner, not 20 minutes in. 5. The wild rice served honestly showed no discernible wild rice; it was completely reminiscent of a grocery-store-purchased, pre-packaged product and was suspiciously yellow (turmeric? tasteless, lukewarm and forgettable. 6. The quality of the Jumbo Breaded Shrimp was abyssmal. Unless otherwise corrected, I would strongly deduce that these were not butterflied or breaded in-house, but instead, were purchased frozen, ready to pop into the fryer. They were beyond overcooked. 7. For the love of Pete, pre-warm your damned plates. Even just cooking for ourselves at home, dear hub and I always heat our plates, pasta bowls and soup cups; it takes minutes and makes a huge difference. 8. When your server forgets an item on your bill, and you don 't notice, then another staff member comes with the corrected Bill, please do not assume your customers new of the error and were trying to get away without paying for the item.
Exquisite food, atmosphere and service! A fine dining must!Calamari may very well be the best in London. Sea bass was spiced and cooked to melt on your tongue perfection. Scallops were tender tasty delicacy and Tiger shrimp also savoury jewels. I truly appreciate the wide selection of wild caught fish, non is farmed fish and that’s quality you can taste.Key lime pie was delicious.The owner, Luan, visited us to ensure we enjoyed our meals, his presence was courteous and very hospitable.
