For a small college town like London, Ontario, it has come a long way to have a Chinese restaurant like Congee Chan. The food is pretty good for a family meal. The service was good. I liked their deep-fried oysters and regulars like sweet and sour pork.

I'm a Westerner but I have visited Congee Chan several times with the my daughter-in-law who is Chinese, plus the usual clientèle is overwhelmingly Chinese so I can attest the the Chinese food here is the real thing.I can't say I'm fond of congee myself; it's a thin rice porridge that may have a wide variety of vegetable, seafood, and/or meat additions. However Congee Chan features a vast array of other dishes in various authentic Chinese styles. The portions are large and the ingredient quality high; the presentation is reliably pleasing and the flavors great.Prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is clean, modern, stylish, and relatively spacious. The restaurant is in a strip mall and there is ample parking.
