However, I find it absurd that they enforce a one-hour time limit for diners. Despite this, we enjoy the pasta and breakfast bars. It has been a reliable spot for a quick meal for us for over 20 years. I do think that the price of $1.99 for an additional scoop of veggies (e.g. two broccoli florets) in the pasta is excessive.
I attempted to order a gluten-free cake from Angelo's for a 60th anniversary celebration. I selected a cake from their online gallery and placed my order over the phone and online as instructed. However, I was disappointed when I received an email stating that they were unable to decorate the top of the cake as requested. They claimed that a week was not enough time to include two fondant roses on the cake, and that they would have to use chocolate piping for the writing, which did not match the overall aesthetic of the cake. They suggested that I could bring in two real or artificial flowers to decorate the cake myself. Despite the incomplete decoration, I was still expected to pay $140 for the cake. This was an unexpected and disappointing experience.
I was excited to see apple fritters on the menu at this restaurant, so I purchased half a dozen to bring to my family's house to enjoy with tea. However, to my disappointment, none of the fritters actually contained any apple. They were simply cinnamon doughnuts. When I called Angelo's to express my disappointment, they explained that they were having trouble cooking the fritters with apples, so they had to remove most of the apple. They offered me a refund if I was unsatisfied. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience.
Well make sure when you get your coffee mug, carry a sign over your head reads “This is my FIRST cup”, otherwise they will send a coffee police after you. Workers are so rude, they don’t respect customers. They are suspicion of customers getting a free refill. The coffee are no-name unbranded and double the price of that form Starbucks. And also make sure you keep all receipts with you for a week, you never know. The worst servers and service ever. Everything in the store are way overpriced. You better go somewhere else.
Angelos is very close to where we will so I frequent the store fairly often, My husband likes their white homestyle loaf bread. I was there to purchase the bread and decided to pick up a banana loaf. It has to be the worst banana bread we have ever tasted. No banana flavor in it at all. I think they use a banana flavoring (and not much of it) rather than real bananas. Besides not being able to taste any banana in it the bread was truly tasteless. We ended up throwing it out.
