La Barrique - London

After an extremely long couple of days presenting to clients at Excel, we were looking for a break.

It says that it is a wine bar, i would disagree, the wine list is far too short and out of date.

My partner and I stumbled into a group of friends who were on their way from the ExCel Center to find some food, and we were invited along.

I went to the restaurant with the intention of ordering a specific dish, but they were out of stock. The waiter only recommended a pricier alternative. Despite my allergy to strong cheese, they did not offer any substitutions even when requested.

We dined in the enclosed patio area, which was very comfortable. The food was consistently excellent, making it a great choice for a business dinner like ours. The value for the service and food is exceptional, and all of our guests had a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
