The gravel beer garden, previously situated nearby, is separated by the Mühlbach, with the sound of the water passing through the mill in the background. This year, the weather cooperated with us. Inside, dark wood, lime walls, and leather seats exude a strong sense of Bavarian coziness. Modern light fixtures above the large tables provide a stylistic contrast, and kitchen towels hung in the windows offer a touch of privacy. There's no tacky Oktoberfest vibe here. The menu goes beyond the typical Bavarian dishes, though those are also available. I never expected to find tormented eggs with potato snow or air-dried deer ham on the menu! Even the traditional dishes like white sausage or Obatzdn are visually appealing and don't remind me of overly sweet canned food. I have to admit, after just two wheat beers, I can't recall the brand, which is a bit disappointing. The prices here are also on the higher side. The Prosecco with currant juice had a cocktail-like quality and was highly recommended by our server. Overall, we had a delightful snack here and would recommend it to any monastery visitors looking for a cozy meal.
The food is good, the beer is delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. The beer garden is also very lovely. It's become a regular stop for me on my bike rides. The menu at Klosterstüberl is extensive, so there is something for everyone. The prices are reasonable, the staff is always friendly and helpful. There's nothing to complain about. I look forward to returning!
Delicious food and proud prices. Operation very friendly and accommodating. Nice decoration. Charming ambience. Nice beer garden behind the place. Good parking situation.
The quality is top-notch! All meals are enjoyable! The owner is a master butcher and has high standards for quality, making sure guests are satisfied. Situated in the Klosterareal, the restaurant has a charming green beer garden and cozy seating by the house wall. It's perfect for a meal after visiting the church or for those looking for excellent food. Reservations are recommended as Klosterstüberl is a popular choice among customers.
The great ambience is the most beautiful in the restaurant! The beer garden offer is less original and too expensive. It is worth visiting because of the beautiful location (central, only about 5 min from the S-Bahn)
