I had kids on my wife's birthday, so no good experience. it was said that the manager would come and talk to me, but they were not materialized. my eating was pretty average burned chicken. our waiter was good.
We sat 30 minutes after our reservation time without apology for the delay and then waited another 10 minutes to come to our server. we had champagne afternoon tea that is good, but the service and lack of respect of the reservation time takes away from it all. the waiters were sooo slow to delete tables as soon as the people had gone so much that I asked myself if it is a deliberate tactics to let the people wait at the entrance to their hot contested table. in total we will not return. had better experience with other Ivy’s.
A hostess with a big job problem! so rude and discriminating for the patrons this will not be the last of this review! I'm actually tired of eating and supporting in a place. we just tried to walk in and get a table in which it's not a problem, but today we were turned away! I said this is nonsense, as I can book a table on the app. I went back to the host and showed her that I just made a booking, but she immediately offered one table to another walk behind us that had no reservation! total discrimination and extremely disgusting. now your turquoise red face and now totally fluffed so that we sat in the bar area on the couches! after 35 minutes not as much as offered a drink or a menu I went back to the reception asking how long it will be. I was confronted with her shocking bad attitude again and practically rolled her eyes up to check how others continue to sit immediately. finally shown on our table, but 6 tabs are empty, set up and available. where is it?! I visit ivy at least once a week sometimes twice as local, but their employees are always met and miss. today the worst I ever met. awful! terrible! they have clearly a lack of personal, but thanks to the waitress and waiter who served us were beautiful enough, professional and pleasant. they couldn't have any plates and glasses over appetizers, nets and desserts and empty glasses, but at least they were not rude. seriously capri holdings sorting their badly managed terrible door staff, it is not a michelin, it is a brasserie! it must be spoken with it and treated accordingly. her posture today was completely out of order and her flippant posture, a word disgusting! Maybe she must be reminded of why she has a job with paying patrons! it is too much to do her job properly as unjustified and rude. to the happiness she has not ruined our Saturday afternoon with her employment problem. no wuts in itself!
The quality of food has drastically fallen in the last year! huge scandal as it is a beautiful restaurant.
Booked a table at the Ivy Chelsea Garden for a special breakfast with my daughter but it turned out to be very disappointing. Host at the door did not try to be nice, no smiles, not how you’d expect to be greeted. He took us to a very tiny table although the restaurant was not busy at all. And 2 minutes later he brought other two women to the table close to us even though there were several other available and not on our side. The waitress was very arrogant and didn’t seem to want to work. The food was just ok, nothing special, really. For the price they charge, everything had to be superbly good. Then, I ordered coffee. It was done immediately. The guy at the coffee station showed the waitress it was ours and that it was ready. But she chose to walk around, chat with other friends… while my coffee was getting cold (it’s winter! after 6 or 7 minutes, she decided to bring my coffee. It wasn’t super hot as I enjoy anymore. So, Ivy Chelsea Garden, see you no more. Your beautiful washroom does not compensate the lack of sympathy and politeness of your employees.
