They were hot and tasty but very oily. I enjoyed the honey chicken a lot but it was more filling than I thought. Overall, food was great and this is a nice place for Chinese food loving people. Service was fast.
We can to 218 mid week for dinner. We were not disappointed. There is a great selection in the menu and the service was friendly and attentive. The dishes arrived one by one but all in quick succession. They were all fantastic. The food seems fresh and very authentic. The shallot pancake was big enough to share (cut into 8 pizza style). The seafood laksa was tasty and the fish fillets were super tender. I would have liked a few more vegetables in it but there was plenty of everything else. It was so big I was nowhere near able to finish it, maybe I had too many prawn crackers before my meal. I definitely look forward to returning.
Tonight, I dine in this restaurant to explore what type of Chinese style food they offer. By its name, I take it for grant that they serve noodles as their signatures. However, the menu tells me that I am wrong so I try the Combination snacks, Lightly Fried Meat Bun, Wonton with Chilli Sauce and Long Bean with Pork Mince. Snacks are close to Taiwanese style, Wonton and Long Bean definitely northern Chinese. The buns are little bit let down without much juices inside the buns. Overall service is friendly and attentive. It is a good potential family business. Would go back to re-visit one day.
Unfortunately, we chose to try for dinner at this restaurant. Dinner was an impossible task, the waiting staff and the chef, were completely oblivious to our order, even when accompanied with pointing to the items in their menu. A sad and sorry evening, which we settled for fish and chips from the local seafood place.
Menu in Chinese and English. I ordered Curry fried chicken and rice.It was worse than KFC.. no curry sauce just fried chicken with rice on plate. I asked about the curry, waiter whose English was terrible said Curry powder. That was it. We asked again for curry sauce he said no curry powder. No idea what he meant. Sister ordered vegetarian.. none.. so he said he would do a stir fried vegetable.. but only one vegetable We checked.. only carrot? yes one vegetable. Then he said he could do noodles and veges. Great. With soy sauce? extra dollar. With oyster sauce, extra dollar, no two dollar. We could have gone to the next door Spar and bought our own bottle. Other order was chilli beef.. I said ohh that would be hot. He laughed. Small plate of beef sautéed in sweet chilli sauce arrived ten minutes after I had my fried chicken and five minutes after sisters small vegetable stir fry with little sauce. He wanted to sell extra rice.. we said no and shared mine. One of the worst dry chinese meals I have ever had. Small helping, served so slowly and there were only one other family in there. I can see why. And there is no name on the front of the shop or their business card. Its all in Chinese.
