Babushka's Deli - Livingston

Babushka's is one of my favorites. While I'm not familiar with all the Russian dishes, we really enjoy their croquettes, savory pastries filled with lamb, pork, and egg, as well as the stuffed chicken breasts and charcuterie. They also have a large freezer section stocked with frozen pierogis and similar items.

I was really in the mood for some Honeycake and other Russian cakes, so I decided to try three different slices and ended up paying $36. If the cakes had been good, I wouldn’t be writing a negative review. Unfortunately, all three slices were dry and hard. Given the high price, I expected them to be fresh and at least soft. I was quite disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place!

Russian/Ukrainian food market. Kvass, black bread, special kasha/grains, special meat products. Very convenient, good prices.

Terrific, tasty and well priced baked goods-not overly sweet, which I like. Great with a mid afternoon cup of coffee. Ample parking.
