Hong Kong Cantonese Takeaway

We have been ordering takeout from this restaurant for some time and overall it has been good. However, we recently noticed a strange bleach-like taste in the chow mein. We returned the dish and it was replaced with a less bleach-tasting version. My partner refused to eat there again, but I continued because my favorite dish was still excellent. Unfortunately, on my last visit, the chips gave me food poisoning. I am certain it was the chips because my partner also got sick after having a few. I am concerned about potential cross-contamination at this restaurant and have decided not to order from there again.

The food at this restaurant is top-notch, you can never go wrong with anything on the menu. However, it's unfortunate that the woman working behind the counter is consistently rude. She should work on her manners as she often acts unwelcoming and ignores customers when they speak to her. She could learn a thing or two from the wonderfully polite man who goes above and beyond for his customers.

We have been patrons of this restaurant for many years and have always found it consistently nice. However, our recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the Singapore vermicelli, a dish I have had many times before but never from here. Unfortunately, it was flavorless and lacked the expected heat. My wife ordered her usual shrimp foo yung, which is normally excellent, but this time it was also bland. We suspect that there may be a new or different chef in the kitchen. It's unfortunate because we thought we had found our go-to takeout spot, but we will have to look elsewhere now. It's a shame.

I don’t normally leave review but this Chinese deserves one, the food is very nice and tonight’s chicken balls are the best I have ever tasted! Super fast delivery too and lovely staff. Thank you :

The best Chinese we have ever had. Doesn’t make you feel rubbish after or too thirsty and then crispy beef is lovely and crispy. 5*
