Jucha is the only vegetarian restaurant here in Butuan. They only have few choices, however, every food they serve is satisfying. The price is okay for the benefits you can get from each servings.
They now moved to Ground Floor, Lifescape Compound, J C Aquino Avenue almost in front of Robinsons Butuan Place is bigger and better ambiance. Healthy and veggie food with a twist... We always drop by for our healthy juices, salads, sandwiches, wraps and...other dishes. They are open till and closed on Sundays.
With their new menu, they are offering now more... Try the combo juice drink (avoid the plastic straw, if you can please). I love the egg and pear salad because I got to have my large doze of dietary fiber but isn't this the...place to experience gastronomic pleasure sans the usual bland-to-the-mouth-but-it's-food-anyway feeling? YES!
How about eating dishes that are more than raw? The idea may make some people cringe because for them that means distasteful food, but if you're in Jucha, their food may make you change your mind. Jucha is just the perfect restaurant for those...who want to eat healthy but tasty food. A friend from Butuan recommended it because she saw in my Facebook that I love eating veggies. The restaurant is located at the second floor of the Imadejas Building in Butuan. On my first visit, I tried their shawarma, date slaw salad, and malunggay pesto. The shawarma was my favorite! Instead of using chicken or beef, they used tuna as protein source, and then wrapped together with cucumber and shredded cabbage. The date slaw was also very good. They used shredded white cabbage and iceberg lettuce, topped with sliced almonds and dates, and drizzled wth sweet mustard dressing. Even the malunggay pesto pasta was a delight. I believe what made their dishes stand out was the use of only the freshest ingredients and by keeping the flavors simple. Their serving size was also big, each dish was good for two to three persons. Because their dishes were so good, we headed there for a second visit on the same week. I, of course, had the shawarma again. I also tried their open faced sandwich which had tuna, lettuce, grapes, and sliced olives, tomatoes and cucumber on top of wheat bread. It was another yummy treat! Jucha also serves the freshest fruit/veggie juices and smoothies. A must try is their pineapple malunggay which is so refreshing and healthy.
