Had a wonderful time at Veldons. Very friendly and attentive staff. My partner and I split the fried calamari (about 6 pieces total) that had a delicious batter. I got the fish and chips with a pint of the Bridewell Red Ale that were delicious and refreshing. If you are looking for something that is a little different and vegetable forward, my partner got the vegan curry even though she isn't vegan and loved it and would highly recommend it. Finally we split a sticky toffee pudding that came with rum raisin ice cream and was delectable. If you need a place to revitalize after hiking Diamond Hill, this should be highly considered.

Very nice local inside, wood fire in the fireplace, great breakfast, kind waitress.
