Vaughans - Roundstone

Great fresh seafood! All the seafood we had was absolutely fresh. We had one of the best meals in Ireland at Vaughans and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, great service even during the busiest evening time. For the restaurant, during the summer season reserve 3+ weeks in advance. If you can't get to the restaurant, the bar menu is excellet! Had the fish of the day, hake, it was delicious!

Living in Roundstone my only regret is not coming here sooner. The service is excellent food is even better. It is the best place to eat from Clifden to Roundstone have tried a few different places and none match the food quality here and even better it is right at my door step so it’s definitely going to be my new regular and favourite place to eat. Goujons and chips large adult portions and the lasagna was the best I have had and I love a lasagna. Price very reasonable

Our best meal during our trip. We were seated at a lovely table overlooking the Atlantic. Staff were very friendly attentive. For starter, I had scallops served on black pudding apple very tasty. My main was monkfish it was very nice was served with fresh vegetables roasted potatoes. Dessert was blackberry apple crumble with ice cream.

We popped in to Vaughan's quite late in the afternoon and were happy to find the lunch kitchen was open until 3pm. We had excellent open sandwiches, very fresh prawns and smoked salmon, well dressed and fresh salad and tasty bread. We will certainly stop there again when we are in the area and ensure we have more time to enjoy the food or even stay at the hotel.

Not particularly friendly greeting. No highchairs available. The homemade burgers were poor. Massive slabs of minced meat in a tiny bun.
