Italy Grill - Lenoir

We have eaten at Italy Grill for years. Haven’t been in a while and decided to get takeout for lunch. Service was fast and no issues. The food however was terrible. Overdone cheese sticks and pasta dish had absolutely no flavor. No seasoning in the sauce and no garlic flavor to the garlic bread. Very sad—I miss the way it use to be.

Great food, very busy day today there was only one place to sit down when we arrived....the owner waited on us. I didn't even have to ask for a refill on my tea...he brought it before I finished it. The building is older but it is nicely done one the inside. If you are traveling and have time to stop for meal you should check it out.

I had the most delicious grilled chicken Caesar salad and my grandkids had shrimp Alfredo, that I of course had to try, and it was so fresh and creamy. The folks there were amazingly nice. I will definitely be going back!

Delicious Italian food and so much more. Everything is fixed fresh. Friendly service. It’s a great place to get pasta, pizza, salads, etc. Be sure to order the Poufy bread it’s unique and delicious, there are 2 sizes. See photo (pouf up bread)!

I'm leaving a 3 star because most of the food was not that good. The meatball sub didn't have to much flavor the sauce on it and the pizza we're both sub-par. The pizza toppings were good as well as the crust. the calzones was good as well. The size of the salad wasn't worth $4. And the fries were the plainest crinkle cut fries you could get. They also charged a convenience fee that we weren't aware of. I would go again for the calzones but not the other stuff.
