Jinsan Sushi - Larose

Local yet Exotic. After having lived down here for five years and having experienced the majority of the traditional local cuisine both at home and while out....it was exciting to receive a sushi/hibachi restaurant close to home. The quality is good. Any raw fish is fresh and never has an odd flavor. Your eel sauce and spicy mayo will not disappoint...not to mention the very fun and tasty appetizers. Service is hit or miss. Some days we have stellar service and others its quite lackluster. On the good days servers will often make a fuss about our children and sometimes gift them little toys or stuffed animals. A very nice touch indeed. Price point is a bit high, but considering the quality of food, I don't mind it. Just go prepared to spend $50 for two people...much as you would at similar sushi restaurants in Houma. Personally, I'd like it to stay and continue to flourish.
