Jo Jo's Backyard Bbq - Lancaster

We discovered this restaurant while looking for dining options along our route, and we're so glad we did! We both thought the pulled pork was outstanding. The white slaw was mild but paired perfectly with the BBQ. I tried the Brunswick Stew and enjoyed it, too. It's only about 30 minutes from home, so we will definitely return!

Buford is my hometown, but I moved to Charlotte. I've tried a few barbecue spots in the city, but they just don't compare. That's why I always make it a point to visit Jo Jo’s when I’m back home; it’s simply delicious! My go-to order is the BBQ plate with beans and white slaw. And when they have the pineapple cherry dessert available, I have to get that too—it's amazing! The service is consistently fast, and the staff is always very friendly. I find the portions to be generous and the prices fair, especially given the high quality of the food. They’ve never gotten my order wrong—everything is always included, which really matters to me! I recommend this place to everyone I know because it’s top-notch. Thanks for being awesome, Jo Jo’s!

This is an excellent restaurant with outstanding service. The ribs were hearty and practically falling off the bone. It's definitely the go-to spot for BBQ!

What a gem! It isn't a fancy place but so comfortable. Prices are good and the food is delicious. I love the potato salad and the white coleslaw. (They also had a red coleslaw. I also had a BBQ sandwich that was piled high with meat. I couldn't finish it all but it was excellent. I will definitely go back when we are nearby.
