El Potro Mexican - Lake City

If you want the best chickens in town, this is the place! This place has the best flavored Fajitas in the city they are so delicious! The chicken is so moist and juicy and tastefully the green peppers and onions were exactly right Sautéed! My friend Food was amazing too! I forget what it got/what it is called, but basically it had shrimp, chicken, cheese, paprika and onions! Also the staff was really nice and attentive! However, it is a little expensive, but worth the price! I and my friend got separate controls and I paid like $30 for my chicken Fajitas sweet tea and I think her check was at $20! I would definitely recommend, but I would also let people know that you pay a pretty penny to eat here!

Nice Mexican restaurant. Prompt service and great salsa/chips. Food came quickly and was delicious. DW got chicken taco salad with lots of chicken. I had chicken enchiladas which were good. Lost one star on beer glasses not being the least bit cold. That’s important when you buy a grande beer. We would return.

Seating was ample.. Tables clean.. Great food! Fresh and hot. Servers were all very nice and pleasant. A little bit of a language barrier with our server, but it was all good. Food arrived in a timely fashion. Three of our party had the buffet which is available, I believe twice a week. They really liked it and said it has numerous choices. Prices are comparable to other local restaurants. I highly recommend you try it.

The seafood soup was excellent. The toco salad was perfect also. I would recommend this restaurant if your looking for good Mexican food.?

This is my first time leaving a negative review anywhere. I ordered a burrito with chicken for the meat. The chicken was dry and hard. It tasted like it was cooked yesterday or the day before and then cooked again. The burrito was sitting in water on the plate as well. I don't understand how this place can have so many good reviews and then my food was so awful. I was not able to eat the burrito it was so bad. I told our waitress very nicely what I was thinking about the food. She did not respond about it and just kept looking like she did not care or did not understand what I was saying. I'm not sure. This place was recommended to us. But I left hungry. It was just that bad.
