Leilani's On The Beach - Lahaina

The lively location on the beach is a popular place for tourists wishing that they were more willing to take a vegan diet. Server seemed upset that we asked how things could be changed on the menu to end a plant-based diet, we had a nice meal, but it shouldn't have been so hard to convince him to ask the kitchen what they could do for us. Finished with a fresh mixed green salad, but subbed avocado for the goat's cheese, the hummus trio, the delicious flatbread and fresh veggies (Carrot, Eks, Radieschen) and had tacos with the Taro Burger patty instead of fish. Note: The beer that is beaten on the menu as an option for the tacos is NOT VEGAN (dairy in batter), which seems like such a missed opportunity. Put Tofu on a menu as an option instead of fish and don't make it vegan? It seems ridiculous. We probably wouldn't go back, but for a night it was just good.

The only option I found was a vegan burger. It's amazing and comes with fries.
