She has since returned and is working hard to get things back on track. Unfortunately, with Tammy away again, the service at the restaurant has once again started to decline. It is clear that whoever is in charge needs to take action and possibly consider firing her. It is a disappointing situation, especially considering the positive experiences I have had in the past. Today is July 5th, and it is truly a somber occasion for the 22 people dining here.
This restaurant is just awful. The food is flavorless and dry. The only decent thing about this place is the side dishes and the sweet tea.
Today, during my lunch break, I visited a Churches restaurant and was informed that they only had thighs available because they were filtering the oil. This struck me as odd since they had just opened for the day, and filtering typically occurs at night. Despite this, I purchased the thighs and returned to work to eat. To my disappointment, the chicken was burnt and had clearly been cooked in dark, burnt grease. I had initially planned to go to KFC, but opted for Churches because of my love for their biscuits and okra. It was apparent why there was only one car in the parking lot and why they were not very busy. I paid $14 for burnt chicken, soggy okra, a decent biscuit, and oddly flavored mashed potatoes. It was unacceptable to me that such obviously burnt food would be sold to customers. My companion in the car with me expressed their distaste and vowed to never return. I tried calling the restaurant to express my concerns, but the line was constantly busy. It is disappointing to see a restaurant that was once loved now providing subpar service and food while still taking customers' money. I am truly disgusted and feel like my money was wasted.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays at 5pm. I waited in line for over 25 minutes only to be told through a closed window that they were closed. It seems that the people in the drive-thru may not have noticed the small sign on the door. Perhaps having a sign on the screen where they place their orders would be more effective. They were aware that there were customers in line, as they could see them through the door.
I would rate my recent visit 5 ?. The customer service was real good. Did not get the name, the face of the female was new. She speaks clearly, repeats orders, smiles and communicate when making it to the window and food is already at the window waiting. Food has been having the old flavor again as well as fresh and not hard from previous visits. Obviously someone is there properly training and takes customer service seriously.
