This is the only filipino restaurant that I know of in Mid TN, and it was really good and authentic. The store side was kind of empty, but we picked up some snacks and instant ramen to try later.
The food was alright. The bistek dish is a little different from what a traditional bistek is. My wife said the pork sinigang is not sour enough.
Not sure where to begin….We ordered multiple shareable plates, and sides of rice. This means the entire plate is full of meat you can share. These plates are more expensive because you’re not getting half meat and half rice, it’s a whole plate full of meat. They gave us all the plates with half meat and half rice and gave us our sides of rice. So I paid $100 for a lot of rice and half the of meat I was supposed to get. Can’t get any worse right? Wrong! Eating pork is strictly prohibited in our belief system. We ordered vegetable lumpia and it wasn’t till we bit into it we realized we were chewing on what we consider an abomination. We will never come back to this scamming heap of trash again.
We went yesterday and we had a very big family and order but the workers were very accommodating. Our food came out really fast and it was so delicious. it tasted very authentic, the pompano sinigang is the best. the flavor was delicious, the sourness was just right. I would drive three hours again to eat here.
I’ve been contemplating either to post a review or not but we’re beyond pissed disappointed.Me my husband went here a few times. Would love supporting Filipino businesses but every time I go here Im kind of disappointed with the food. I really hate leaving negative comments but I think I have to say something to improve their business. Today we went there. I ordered a take out of Palabok and ate it at home. I was so excited to eat but then food was really gross! It’s so bland and doesn’t taste like palabok at all. The sauce was so gross and the meat was really bland! Last time I ordered pinakbet and hubby ordered pancit. My pinakbet rarely has meat on it and it’s got more eggplant than anything. My hubby was also disappointed with his pancit because it didn’t have more to veggies meat to eat. It’s really disappointing how much they charge with their food and don’t make it reasonable enough to what you play for. People always ask me where to eat Filipino food and I just couldn’t recommend this place at all. Not to mention the staff are being so laugh at the back too. Also don’t get me wrong, every time we dine in we would pay atleast $30-$50 and groceries up to $100-$150 and that’s fine!! Just hoped it’s worth it but not.. anyways, hope this place improves tho for their future customers but we’re never coming back.
