Panera Bread - La Quinta

I was on my way to Panera when I realized it was already 8:30 PM. Although they officially close at 9 PM, in reality, they stop serving at 8 PM. I decided to turn around rather than waste my time at a restaurant that would likely be out of all their bakery items, Charged Lemonade, iced coffee, iced tea, and most of their entrees, forcing me to make substitutions. I think the corporate office should just list this location as closing at 8 PM. I opted to go somewhere else.

I really enjoy Panera and frequently place pick-up orders for lunch during the workweek. However, I have to say that their pick-up service leaves much to be desired. In fact, every single time I’ve ordered—probably more than ten times at this point—they’ve forgotten something. Most of the time, it’s minor items, but today was particularly frustrating. I ordered a sandwich without mayo or tomato (mayo being the priority, as I have a strong aversion to it), and they ended up putting both mayo and tomato on it. I’m just fed up with this. I understand that the staff is busy, but they have never gotten my order right—not even once. On the bright side, the food is good!

The grilled cheese and tomato soup that my wife ordered were excellent, as was the spicy chicken sandwich paired with cream of broccoli soup. The young woman who took our order and the one working on the bread dough were both delightful to chat with. The guys preparing and packing the orders appeared to be enjoying themselves as well. Kudos to management for hiring such great staff at Panera Bread!

Fresh food, nice staff, but portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller and more and more expensive. That may not be the location specific and may just be an overall corporate issue. The inside dining area was clean and well maintained and lookedvery nicely decorated

Came in this morning at 7am Hardly any one in the restaurant. Very light line. I waited 20 mins for just one toasted bagel. They were preparing a large online order. Three of us in the store were getting impatient. When I finally got up and asked themfor my bagel, the manager sliced my everything bagel and just tossed it in a bag. Usually the bagels come in separate bagel bag.How rude. The tartiness and rudeness by employees and manager at 7:30 is unacceptable. I wont be coming back to this store in LaQuinta.
