I really love this restaurant! They serve squaw bread, which is a total game changer. They also ask you which cheese you'd prefer, but they do it in a way that suggests what pairs best with your sandwich. For example, they might say, "Is Swiss cheese okay?" and you can either accept it or politely decline. I appreciate this approach because I often feel unsure about what cheese goes well with dishes like tuna or club sandwiches. Plus, the entrance has a foot-operated door handle, which is a nice touch!

How can you not love Submarina? This one has the best service, friendliest staff, and they are pros at getting the line moving. Yes, Submarina is a chain, but the staff here (many who have been here for years) make it feel like a small town deli.
