La Casa Blanca - La Mesa

I absolutely love this restaurant. Between the food quality and the amazing service of Herman and the woman with the glasses, they are so great, especially to us highschoolers. It'd such a calm atmosphere and they always are so sweet to us. I highly recommend!!

I've lived in San Diego for over 30 years and never knew about this place just off the eight freeway in La Mesa next to a restaurant called The charcoal house. Anyway decided to try finca Casa blanca and wow, I was blown away! Some of the best tasting Mexican food I've had in all of San Diego and that compares to Old Town and downtown and other Mexican restaurants I've been to. I had the chicken mole enchiladas plate and a chile relleno à la carte on the side and wow, the flavor profiles were spot on. The chile relleno had the most delicious flavor and so did the chicken mole enchiladas. The rice and beans were amazing as well. Definitely planning to come back to this place soon as I'm still thinking about it!

Fantastic Mexican atmosphere, with handmade corn tortillas and delicious food. Reasonably priced - definitely a hidden gem in La Mesa.
