Maker Monger - Kurunjang

Can’t get past a good cheese toastie from Maker and Monger. Also caters to vegan diets as well. What’s not to love.

Without doubt the All American is the best toasted cheese sandwich I’ve ever had, topping Borough Market in London. Crispy outside, gooey flavourful inside and not so hot that you don’t burn the inside of your mouth with molten cheese, it’s perfect. The only problem is all the seating has been closed off at Prahran Market so there I am standing up whilst eating the world’s best toasted cheese sandwich. Looking forward to trying the Rueben

The selection of cheese is amazing, but its not just the selection (which you may be able to find elsewhere , its the way in which they are stored, prepared and matured. The condition the cheese is in is what makes Maker and Monger stand out from the rest (they also understand all Roquefort is not created equal!!! Staff always happy to recommend which cheese is at its best. The condiments and accompaniments are brilliant too. The butter is other worldly... toasties are worth the trip regardless of where in Melbourne you are.

Awesome range of cheese... fats and salt the two best things you can offer your taste buds. Make sure you try out their flaming reuben sandwich!

Maker and Monger bring a wealth of experience and professionalism to the Prahran Market. I have been delighted over many years with a wonderful selection of cheeses and friendly staff to point you in the right direction. They truly put joy into their creations. Their toasted sandwiches are so good generous and tasty. It is not long after I leave that I am craving my next visit!
