Chimmy's Bakery - Kurunjang

Love this place. A Bakery/cafe that does great coffee. The bread is of the highest quality along with other assorted baked treats. A very loyal local following is reluctant to share this gem with outsiders genuine and unpretentious. The coffee is the best in the area and the pre made lunch baguettes are fresh, delicious and large!! The decor is basic, but a very generous dine in space accompanied by delightful staff (including Chimmy) ticks all the boxes.

Waited over 15 minutes for a take away hot chocolate, and it wasn’t busy. Only 3 other people waiting for coffees. But all seemed to be waiting over 10 minutes too. I wasn’t in any rush, but was also disappointed when it finally came that it tasted funny. Might have been okay if I’d have ordered or been expected something dark, but it was overall quite bitter and not enjoyable even after adding sugar. Colleagues of mine ordered teas that also didn’t taste right. I’m not sure how you stuff up an English breakfast tea but they managed it. The staff were lovely though, so that’s one upside. Maybe just didn’t have a good barista on for the morning.

Great food, coffee, prices, and staff. 5/5 can’t be beat.

Their roast beef baguette is the best I have tasted. Their sausage roll has a beautiful artisan taste to it. The owner knows what he is doing. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$1–20
