Knowing that this place has had mixed reviews, we were still hoping to have a great meal. Sadly we didn 't. Much of the menu was not available, especially no tuna! It 's a very odd location although quite lovely under the big tree but remember to have mosquito spray in plenty. Service was reluctant with staff more focused on watching the TV than serving, pizza was average, nothing special at all, and mine had a 'musty ' flavor to the base so just ate the topping in the end. Really don 't think this will make the next round of travel books they are trading on a past reputation I think.
A few local friends from Kumasi had given good reviews. The property is rustic... yet to be developed. Many customers order by phone and pick up the pizza's. Few tables are available to sit and eat at the location. They also serve alcoholic and nom-alcoholic beverages. There are many trees with birds chirping. So, it is quite relaxing. I found the vegetarian pizza bland and dry. It also gave me severe acidity. I will not venture there again.
Read the reviews, so tracked it down. Not far from the Golden Tulip Hotel. Drove up and saw the plastic tables under a tree at what looks like a large house. Asked a woman there if they were open she said yes. I said, for lunch? she said, no, we don 't serve food on the weekends. Strange..... Run down, sad little plastic tables and chairs, an old container for a bar, and no food.
This place is listed in Lonely Planet, and seemed to be the place to eat . Although the pizza was good, we must have missed the bit about eating outdoors! Service was slow and drinks were provided from a separate vendor than the pizza. Overall it was not really worth the effort to find. Not sure if ownership has changed since last reviewed by Lonely Planet. . .
