Almost none of these many food options are vegan. After you have asked the staff what the V really means can be made vegan. Absolutely nothing in the menu shows this in fact as it is a clear indication that V is for vegan, the opposite is true: the menu is extremely deceptive. You might think that okay, that's a problem, but as long as food can be veganized, there's still some hope. Unfortunately not. Talking to the staff, you will understand that a dish vegan, to them, means removing the animal products... without any kind of substitution. You will pay the same price for an amazing (tasteful) version of your chosen meal. Fall in point, Queensadillas. Veganization means simply removing the cheese. What else do you have? I didn't ask. I was too busy myself. I kindly explained this to the waiter and asked him to report to his management. Not sure if he will do it, I will try to directly reach the management. Since I ate with a Flexi friend, I stayed and ordered a (damped) Nasi Lemak Wrap, then a Naan. Small portion size for the price, but taste was ok. Unless the management shows understanding and implements some changes, I will not go back. And I recommend you to avoid the place.
It is not quite clear what vegan is, but if you ask, they are very helpful. There are many choices, and the food was really nice. And very cheap.
This place is a very good restaurant! came here and am vegan and had the OMG Burger. Waiters are very well informed about vegan options. I definitely want something back
I tried many of the Indian dishes here and it was very authentic food. Enjoyed the meal. Be sure to ask food without ghee if you are vegan. I ordered garlic naan without ghee and it was nice. If you don’t ask then ghee will come. Service was very slow and we had to wait very long. Expensive food though, compared to other Indian vegetarian restaurant.
First time trying WTF (What Tasty Food in Bangsar. The fully vegetarian menu states that vegan dishes can be prepared on request, and our waiter was excellent; he showed us all of the already vegan options, pointed out the dishes that could be easily veganised, and asked if there was anything else we wanted to try so he could see whether the kitchen could veganise it (we asked about the mushroom tikka masala and the answer was yes! . I was also thrilled to find out that many of the naan breads could be made vegan just by omitting the melted butter they usually coat them with. We started with the dry vegetable munchurian; crispy fragrantly spiced veg balls coated in a soy, chilli, ginger and garlic sauce (so good! . Next we had a big old vegan feast consisting of daal tadka, mushroom tikka masala, aalu gobi (my fave , basmati rice, garlic naan and plain naan. Everything was tasty and not too spicy (not sure if they toned it down a bit for us deliberately...? , and we were additionally happy because (unlike many vegetarian restaurants here in KL they serve beer, including kingfisher and corona if you’re after a vegan beer.
