I tried here, taste is so so and the portion is smaller than others, don't like staffs very rude especially ordered 1 or 2 dish, they wanted to chase you off to let new customers in by immediately clear up all your food and drink without asking.
See the price.... I think is is expensive. I am crab lover and my hubby cooked very well crab so they actually short change us. They promise to give 500g crab, when served.... what a joke! It is about 400g. Crab taste alright, freshness (7/10 rating). Other side dishes like veggie... taste like home cook veggie. Fried meat ball tomato, is taste normal. So so only. Very aggressive staff.
Not what it once was in quality or price! I 've been to Jalan Alor many times over the years and I 'm always aware that it 's a tourist area and therefore the prices are higher, but this time one large bottle of beer, one medium fried rice and three extra dishes came to RM153 which is ridiculous. (Ginger onion RM38, Lemon Chicken RM28, Asparagus dish RM32 and fried rice RM26, large bottle of Tiger beer RM 30). Food was 'ok ' but had always seemed better on previous visits in the surrounding restaurants. The whole place has been fixed up lately so maybe the prices are paying for the new signage and cooking areas. Not even close to being worth the price, go elsewhere.
The Penang fried Kwak Tiao the Black Hokkien Mee are very disappointing. I think even Singapore local coffeeshop Tze char stall cook ones taste better.. The stingray is fried till too dry. The venison was still alright. I would recommend to try other restaurants if you can wait. We were lazy this restaurant just happened to be in the front…
The worst restaurant that I have never tested on the street. 0 taste. Don't be impressed by my pictures. I didn't finish the plate I had to go back to the restaurant that I tested yesterday.
