We ate dinner at Weingloeckle and were pretty satisfied. The staff was friendly and was even able to accept Swiss franks instead of Euro. Food was great too. Flametart, liver and sausage were all tasty.
I used to go once or twice per month. A beauty place to enjoy with a great typical german wine and typical food which was always perfect and tasty. Price was right. And the best of all was the service: charming and thoughtful, attending every table with efficiency. Last two times we were, the new waitress was rude and unfriendly; she attended only the nearest tables (which I consider discrimination for the far ones where I was); she poured wrong a type of wine and leaving a little bit on the glass, she mixed with the other right type!!! And something where I am probably wrong (because I don't know their course of action): I ordered cold dishes 5 minutes after the kitchen was closed. She answer me about the closing, so I understood the decission. But I remember my first visit on this Weinstube, and how the waitress facing the same situation offered me nicely some cold plates. So next time I decide to go, I'll check firstly across the window and take sure she is not attending.
The weinglöckle is a really nice little weinlokal, which looks quite a bit dusty but radiates cozyness. for many (especially older) constanzer, it is a popular and long-term meeting point. one knows one another - and that's exactly what makes the authentic charm. On the map one finds a rich selection of vesper dishes (e.g. sausage salad, flaky cake, meat cube, salad etc) to the e.g. part really unbeaten cheap. but there is also a daily dish. the weeping card looks like from the 70s - some weeping will find that will no longer meet the time taste. But ultimately there is such a choice that everyone finds something. My judgement: very nice, eat good and cheap, wee good! I have to say a single negative point: when you get in, a slightly muffy cellar odour is a contradiction. that disappears after a few minutes....not the first moment is not so great. but: don't let them be deterred, but just try it in and out! we will certainly come back!
In the " Bermuda Triangle " the Niederburg where the more constancy they find out the " weinglöckle ". the more pächter has changed what the " stubb " did well. ordinary German kitchen, freshly cooked, good wine selection to fair trips. the frame is a bit old-baked, but fits to the older publikum - oh yes, and there are also.
