The food was terrible, but the service was great. The vegetables seemed to be from a can, and the roast beef and liver was overcooked to a tough texture. The gravy had no flavor, and overall, there was no love put into the dish.
The food at this restaurant is simply delicious. It's not too fancy, but the portions are generous and the desserts are top-notch.
We visited for breakfast. We found the decor a little on the dated side...circa 1980, but homey and welcoming like a farm kitchen. We enjoyed the special of bacon and eggs with a choice of toasts and home fries and the service time was average. Our server was friendly and not too intrusive. So all in all, the place was good for the type of restaurant it is. They will be moving to new quarters across the street in November, so maybe the decor will be more current and they will do away with the long banquet tables which dominate most of the room.
I have heard wonderful things about the Little Beaver so I decided to try it while I was visiting Komoka. So glad I did! My sister and I went to an early dinner. The staff are amazing and the food was spectacular! Home fresh fries, 2 huge pieces of fish, the best coleslaw I've ever had, homemade bun to salivate over and OMG the tarts. The prices are so amazing for the amount of food given. I actually went back when leave Komoka for 6 cherry tarts to bring home to the fam - they didn't last the day. Definately will go back and most definitely recommend!!
