Funkhaus Cafe Bar Restaurant - Köln

Service is fast and efficient. WiFi connection was very good. Coffee was more than satisfactory. It's a great place for coffee and snacks when visiting the Köln Cathedral and the area.

Very good dinner and quality of food (for germany - because germans can't cook very well)so it's very good and they have nice choice of food and drinks.only BIG MINUS is, tĥat the waiters take the gratuity without asking....for example when you have for 18,80 € and you give 20 € they don't come back with the money... and this happend several times now

Very trendy for the area not the traditional type of beer houses you can expect to find but still good value

Cologne Center is overloaded with options for drinks and/or dining. Funk House sits on the corner with outside seating, while the interior is open to the fresh air. The bar tender recommended a delicious German Sauvignon Blanc, which went well with my spaghetti with pesto sauce and grilled shrimp. (Be sure to get extra oil, and salt&pepper to boost the pesto.) Still hungry, I ordered the cheese plate, and my waiter Kai suggested a Malbec from Mendoza. I would have preferred a baguette, but the accompanying bread worked with the six French cheeses.Returning the next evening (after the organ recital in the cathedral), to accompany another glass of Malbec, I had the beef goulash, which was tasty and flavorful. I got talked into dessert as Funk Haus features eistruffels. Mine was made with limoncello and was a pleasant ending for the evening.

Chose FunkHaus based on Trip Advisor reviews. Would recommend you do the same! The food was beautiful with great service. Portions were just right, not over facing like most are! Great location and perfect for either a quick coffee or main meal (as we did).
