Alte Schmiede - Köln

We came here as a family of 5 as we live nearby. The food was cooked fast (we ordered 4 dishes) and tasted really well. The waiter was very friendly and quick. Will gladly come back again.

For an evening out with friends this was a great place to go. Tuesday evening was Reibekuchen evening, so we had these delicious potato cakes with smoked salmon, horseradish and salad as a starter. Looking for regional cooking, we chose the Flammkuchen: the veggie in our party opting for the Norwegischer (Nowegian style) with salmon, whilst the others had the Elsässer (Alsatian style) with bacon and the Mediterraner (Mediterranean) with Italian ham, rocket and cherry tomatoes. Go ravenously hungry if you choose the Currywurst: it is the most enormous sausage I had ever seen! Portions were generous, food tasty and the service very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the local keg beer Kölsch, served deliciously chilled in the characteristic 20 cl straight glasses.

Nice restaurant in Cologne-Lövenich with indoor and outdoor restoration. Ambience. The service is friendly and fast. We've been thrilled with food several times. Since the cook has changed, the menu remained almost unchanged, but everything came completely different from the table, in smaller portions and with poor quality. The food is currently o.k., but nothing special. Overall, I would give the note enough.

The Old Forge is now one of our regular guests. The online booking works without immigrants and is very clear and easy. The food quality is extremely good, the service and the service are very friendly and beautiful and the prices are to be considered favourable for Cologne conditions. At all our visits we have eaten very well, were friendly and fast and regretted no cent of the bill. Only recommended!

We were there for the first time last week; certainly not the last time. I have reserved the table for lunch (for the same evening) online with a few simple clicks. When we came to the restaurant in the evening, we saw our name on a very pretty little table on the reserved table. We were greeted very kindly and nicely, asked for drinks and made the day card known that is not to be found on the map. The choice of dishes is not so big, but very good for it. From the Cologne court of heaven and the Aegean and from the Halve Hahn to the Mediterranean plate with Serrano and Parmesan to the pork fillet. We chose a daily dish, a raspberry steak m. napkin dumplings and it was absolutely delicious! Pleasantly attentive and friendly staff ensures that you can reorder drinks at any time. Completely different rooms for smokers and non-smoking, while unfortunately the one for smokers is somewhat more rustic and cozy. But also the non-smoking area is very cozy. A small covered terrace also allows a meal outside on warm summer days. But right on the road, so that only from 19.00/20.00 a.m. should be a happy pleasure.
