Oscar's Taco Shop - Knoxville

These tacos are not only amazingly tasty and filling but they are also inexpensive. I love coming here because I don't have to worry about how much I will spend when I go out to party.

Excellent! About as close to authentic as you can get here. We had Carne Asada tacos with chips, guacamole and cheese sauce. It was by far the best I have had in Knoxville and surrounding. I would highly recommend this place to all whom like authentic Mexican food!

Oscar's Taco Shop is a fusion of So. Cal. / Mexican fare. The standard carne asada (steak) taco is much different from a steak, onion, and cilantro one that one may order from a standard taqueria. It's good. We tried the chicken quesadilla and it was also unlike an expected version. I didn't like it as well as the standard chicken/cheese versions. The rice/bean "make it a meal" wasn't really enough to taste--there were only 3-4 fork fulls per item. The salsa verde was bland--a little heat for a second or two and then nothing. The chips were fabulous--freshly deep fried and warm with the right amount of salt. I could have eaten an entire bag. I'd also recommend fixing the ice machine--drinking lukewarm sodas really take away from my overall score. I'll try it again sometime to see if my experience improves.

Love the breakfast burritos and churros! You guys should just get on your coffee game so it can be a one stop shop. Great prices/value and the tacos are good too.

Consistently great. Can order taco combinations not on menu, such as carne asada and chorizo. Great customer service and inexpensive. Best soft tacos in Knoxville.
