Mikata Japanese Grill Sushi - Knoxville

Mikata is my favorite Asian restaurant in the Knoxville area. I absolutely love their Fiesta Roll and Beef Shrimp Escape. They also offer takeout, which is great!

The food was solid, and I would definitely give it another try. Their black rolls are outstanding, and the jump dish was also quite delicious. Unfortunately, they are no longer in service due to a staff shortage, which has become increasingly common. The portions are very filling.

Most places have shifted their focus to quality over quantity since the pandemic, but this restaurant stands out. I've dined here twice in the last two weeks, and it's been fantastic each time. It's the only place I've found that includes noodles and rice with the meal, and I absolutely love their steamed rice. They also consistently get my order right every time I've been here over the years.

I've ordered here many times but only every few weeks. I order the same entree with specific special instructions. Today I forgot to say broccoli only instead of the mixed veggies... Didn't realize I did that until I opened up my box and saw the broccoli only ? The food is delicious, but my 5 review is for the attention to detail and customer service! This is why I love supporting local businesses!

Good quality sushi for sure. I’d say a bit overpriced. Got 3 regular and 3 special rolls for $60. Felt like that should have been $40. Minimum wage in Tennessee is $7.25. You’re telling me I have to work a whole day and then some to pay for 6 rolls of sushi?
