We ate BBQ everywhere, and that was one of the best meals we ever had! You're absolutely the best ribs I've ever eaten. I didn't put any sauce on them because they didn't need it. My 9-year-old son and I stopped by the city and got a little of everything. It was all really, really good, but we enjoyed mainly the ribs, frits (literal hand grinding), the fried bologna sandwich, and the hush puppies. Oh, yeah, and the potato salad, and the pulled pig with Coleslaw on it. To everything out, the couple does not work nicely and more hospitable. Please skip all chain restaurants in the area and get to this place and try it out. Real Bbq of real people. Yus
I loved discovering Love That BBQ during an introduction to an area of Knoxville that I was not familiar with. I loved the authentic feeling. It was Wednesday noon, but not excessively busy. The menu had the perfect set of options – enough to satisfy any desire, but not too many I did not get out of my mind (yes, it is one thing lol). I went with the BBQ sandwich and two sides food — beans and Hush puppies baked. The hush puppies were great. If you like garlic, you will love them. Sure, hush puppies will be something I get every time. The BBQ Sandwich was great, I added the hot BBQ sauce. I can't expect the bride next time... the owner (super friendly and personable), was friendly enough to give me a little taste. It was great. It was great. It was great. I'm looking forward to my return visit. I will also keep an eye on this place when I host a dinner/party and need a crowd-pleaser without cooking itself. FIVE STARS!
This is the best bbq I had in a very long time. If you are in Knoxville, this place is out of the way and it is worth finding. Ribs fell off the bone when I touched them. The Bbq sandwich was so juicy that the lower bunk was made soggy. The actual salad was also very good. This place is a fantastic find. Brownies will hurt you yourself who are filled with chocolate chips.
Trying Love that BBQ was a spur of the moment decision and we are so happy we did. The owner was so personable and the food was delicious. We both had BBQ sandwiches, beans, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Honestly, the portions could have been smaller and I would have been satisfied. I had the red velvet cake for dessert which was also very tasty. Oh, don 't forget to try the hush puppies!
