I got take out from Little Bangkok on a work trip, and while my red curry was delicious, the vegetable spring roll wrappers were dry and breaking easily indicating they 'd been made couple days prior. The service I received from the hostess was beyond rude. You 'd think I was inconveniencing her by asking for a receipt and business card with my to-go order (I DO tip on to-go orders guys so please don 't think that 's the reason). She instead motioned to the door where to-go orders are and was all Whatever, I guess you can take a to-go menu in an exasperated/annoyed tone instead of looking for a business card (needed for my company to reimburse me). Even though the food here was pretty good, I 'd never return or recommend this place to anyone based on the service!
This restaurant has been endorsed by the K-Town Vegans MeetUp Group. We have had several group dinners at Little Bangkok. This is the first Thai restaurant in the Knoxville area to offer vegan curry choices. The menu is extensive and the owner is very familiar with vegan diets. The decor is very attractive and there is a nice outdoor patio.
Last month, I ordered several take-out items. The woman who took our orders appeared to be upset with our presence, which made for an uncomfortable experience. While the food wasn't terrible, it also wasn't great. I tried it, but I don't think I'll be returning. The flavors were lacking, and the food didn't seem very fresh.
This restaurant is conveniently located near our home, and we visit about twice a year, always enjoying our meals. However, the service tends to be inconsistent; some visits have had excellent service, while others have been just okay. The wait time for food also varies. The food itself is good, and I appreciate the variety of vegetarian options. My favorite dish is the Thai basil.
