The food had a rancid smell, as if the frying oil hadn't been changed in months. On a positive note, the wonton soup was good, and the beer was cold. I ended up taking my to-go box to the trash at ACE Hardware because I didn't want that unpleasant odor lingering in my car. I felt bad for the waitstaff since they were short-handed, so I didn’t have the heart to inform them about the food. It was my first visit and definitely my last.
I dined here with my family and we experienced outstanding service along with great recommendations from the staff. The server was very helpful in guiding us through the appetizer options, especially when it came to choosing duck dishes. The jellyfish appetizer was exquisite, featuring a light sesame flavor. The Cantonese roast duck, which our server suggested, was crispy with the fat melting perfectly in my mouth. We also tried the crispy pork belly, which maintained a delightful crunch. For our vegetable option, we ordered the abalone and bok choy appetizer, also recommended by our server; the mushroom flavor was delicious and complemented all the dishes beautifully. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to gather with family or friends and enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine.
The Positive: The service was friendly and attentive, and the vegetables in the dishes were fresh and crisp. The Negative: The ramen tasted like it was from a store-bought packet and had way too much chili oil. I came in for sushi, but unfortunately, they no longer serve it.
Clean, comfortable, attentive staff and an excellent chef!! Just had dinner here after a few years. They've hired a new chef and WOW!! The food is Chinese now and it's really excellent. The menu has changed so it has a lot of chinese options. I was a littleworried since I was used to the japanese menu but, some of the favorites are still available like the bento box, which isactually improved in my opinion. There's a bit more too it now. The fried food is so fresh and crispy, the presentation is cleanand appetizing and the flavors are great. We were the only diners at the restaurant on a weekday evening and my only thoughtabout that is that it's a hidden gem, located in rocky hill, I'm wondering if it's just sort of missed. We weren't toodisappointed with the quiet dining experience, especially with the calming atmosphere but, y'all come eat here so they can stayin business. This is so good!! Support this local business!!
This restaurant offers truly authentic Asian cuisine in Knoxville that is often overlooked. I ordered some take-out, including the Chicken with Ginger and Jumbo Shrimp in a ketchup-based sauce, both of which were delicious. The meals come with a generous portion of white rice, enough to serve 3-4 people. I also requested chili sauce on the side, which paired perfectly with the chicken and rice. As a Chinese person, I highly recommend trying this place!
