Not sure why i have never written this review. This is hands down some of the best pie in the world. I40 by far my favorite but everything i have tried is awesome. I'm not a apple pie guy but it looks amazing and is said to be delightful. My least favorite would be the strawberry, taste was good but textures didn't work with me. Never been a crust guy but this is one of those exception with Buttermilk Sky. Form the look of the building down to the wooden cutlery. The feel and smells will get you thinking about your favorite pie and memories to go with. Great to pick up a few and share with friends for after dinner dessert or just a pie date. I do prefer to buy the small pies as they seem to just have better balance and all around flavor over the full pies. Plus you can get a variety and everyone can decide what their favorite is for next time.
The pies here are phenomenal! I have tried multiple pies from this place and they were all excellent. The only complain is that they are a little pricy, but still worth it.
Hottest dessert in Knoxville!. This little pie shop has truly taken over Knoxville! For those on Urbanspoon for the Bearden and Turkey Creek locations who have stated you can get comparable or better desserts at Kroger/Publix, I strongly disagree! Pies are baked right in front of you and fresh daily. Perfect crust and the pecan pie is to die for! The pecan pie filling seems to caramelize on the top of the crust giving a homemade caramel taste amazing! I will say I find the chocolate pie a little too sweet and am not the biggest fan of meringue. Also recommend the lemon and I 40 pies. It is a little pricey, but pie is definitely a treat, not a daily meal!
They sell pies, both 4” individual and 9” full-sized versions. They also sell biscuits, although I didn’t sample any. I may swing by on the way to the office one morning to pick up a batch of biscuits for breakfast for the office at some point, based on the quality of the pies alone.
