I thought I'd update my review to this joint. I can't do that often, but I have a friend who's regular. eating is obviously better than their typical bar food. I noticed that they bentons speck on the menu (very gourmet for here) and understand that the steak sandwich is also good. my friends will eventually order to go when they go what is positiw. the service is great. I like all those with whom I interacted. very attentive and friendly. it's smoker friendly (what I hate) but my friends all smoke or they don't go there I guess and it's 21 up I like...Kids bars don't mix. my big handle with the place is the drinks prices are high the happy hour is...read more
The selection of the beer is solid and they have a thorough descrptive alcohol menu with price information. some of the best pommes on the knoxville sports bar scene, actually, eating in general is probably better than they would expect. service ranges from good to excellent.
Great food and beer! that is my favorite to eat and cool on this side of the city. the building is really well ventilated so that the cigarette smoke is not a problem for a non-smoking one like me. they have recently updated their menu and frozen everything. the Philly cheese steak and the cheap steak are above all excellent! the fieldhouse also has a very large selection of beer. In addition, there are pool tables, ping pong, video games, and they often live trivia and karaoke.
I've been there several times, but this previous one was a nightmare. The waitress was super nice and the food was good. There was a problem with our tickets, and I am not sure if the person we talked to was a manager or what. He seemed cool at first, but he was totally trying ro scam us and never gave an apology. Then when one party member went to go see what was going on, he was cussing out the poor waitress. It could have been fixed easily if he the manager with glasses and receding hairline had any people skills. I wish I'd got his name, but avoid that guy, and your time will be great!
