My understanding from them is that the food can be a bit expensive, but my dish is consistently very reasonably priced. The servers and waitresses are also super friendly, I can't recommend this place enough.
Wowowoww quite possibly the best ramen I’ve ever had. Spicy and delicious.
Food other than house salad (why is the bottom of the bowl all water and why are the tomatoes white?! is stellar. Service hit or miss. Last time I was there had to beg for my drink and new water. It sat at the bar for Atleast 30 minutes while server carried on with her coworkers. Atmosphere is grungy and unappealing and every time I’ve been recently they won’t let me sit on the more pleasant patio. I’d recommend miso soup (sooo good Sashimi, sushi or Hibachi. Avoid the salad. And don’t expect a clean or nice atmosphere Of photo is my most recent dinner or a deconstructed spring roll (thanks for accommodating me!! minus some allergins. It was delicious and this, miso and sashimi are my new go to’s. Used to get the salad but last time with all the water at the bottom, never again. (My husband loves the carrot ginger dressing Thanks for your response. We will definitely be back its bar far our favorite Japanese food town. We actually went three weeks in a row and have plans with friends a couple of weeks from now. Maybe I'll give the salad another try.
I don't mean to be disrespectful to the owners/workers of this establishment, but the only good thing about our lunch was the price. It took awhile for us to be seated and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Our waitress wasn't attentive or interactive. She never refilled our drinks and I don't remember her checking on us once after our food was delivered. My chicken was dry and very salty. Out of the 2 pieces of broccoli I received, one was overcooked and one was raw. All of the fried items tasted like they were fried in old oil. My salad wasn't dressed in any way, and the California roll was very messy and had too much mayo. My husband's ramen tasted like basic prepackaged ramen. The dining room was dirty; almost all of the tables had food bits underneath them and many of the tables had napkins and paper stuffed under the feet to keep them upright. The price was excellent; our lunch (with tip) ran us around $33 and we did receive large portions. However, overall, very disappointing and we won't be returning.
Came in last night at 9, an hour and half before close at 10:30. They turned on the AC really cold while we had to endure our terrible service. Didn’t get our drinks until 45 minutes later and I had to ask just two waters. Waiter forgot. We ordered sushi, they brought out a different kind than what we ordered. We asked for ginger and didn’t ever get it. Waiter brought out entrees, and I had to remind her of the appetizers she didn’t bring out. I didn’t get my miso soup until after my food was served. I don’t know what was wrong with the waiter but she had star stickers all over her, but her service wasn’t worth 1 star. Then the food was not good. We ordered spicy chicken ramen and it had two pieces of chicken in it, very small pieces. We ordered beef hibachi and the steak was very dry and tough, and it wasn’t cubed steak like it showed on the menu. It was a waste of $20 for the beef hibachi. Might as well just order the chicken and save $7. I will never come back to this place again. No wonder the downtown location closed. I have no idea how they have so many good reviews.
