I was here with my wife and my son. waits at the door, as the owner gives us twice without confirmation. we have already put ourselves on a small table outside. we waited for about 10 minutes to ask if we go, search for menu itself or someone will visit us all by now the owner erases tables around us. the frustrated me just more, I was on the look for a menu and sat back, we also notice a few other tables trying to get the attention of the inconspicuous and uninterested staff. even after the decision we wanted to order, we are unattended for another 10 minutes. I went to the merchant on Sunday with some friends from sydney and immediately noticed the friendly customer service. each ordered coffee and cake and the cakes were amazing! we had chocolate cakes, brownies and croissants. I would recommend going to the merchant at any time, especially for the cakes!

I went to the merchant last week, although I noticed that it is now called brasserie at the foreshore. the customer service was great, and the menu also looked fantastic. I had the pain perdu', which was French with speck and maple syrup. it was fantastic, and my juice was beautiful too. the caffe had a wonderful atmosphere and I will return definitiw!

Witnessed the most extraordinary and appalling spectacle at this cafe which gets ok reviews. The owner got into a heated dispute with disgruntled customers, in front of the rest of the diners, told a woman to f off and then turned a waitress humiliating her until the poor woman was in tears and had to leave the premises!!! I still can't quite believe it actually happened! The mutters of this is not acceptable from well Canberra women in reference to the owner's behaviour is still ringing in my ears.
